Ontario is reporting 1,417 new cases of COVID-19 this morning (Wednesday) while Southwestern Public Health is advising of 11 new cases, including two in St. Thomas and eight resolved.
There are 66 confirmed ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area, with 22 in Woodstock, 17 in Norwich, 11 in Aylmer, five in St. Thomas and Tillsonburg, two in Ingersoll with single cases in Bayham, Blandford-Blenheim, Zorra and East Zorra-Tavistock.
Bethany Care Home in Norwich has an outbreak with three residents testing positive.
There are no hospitalizations at this time.
Forty-one of the cases are individuals under the age of 50, of those 15 are under the age of 20.
The number of resolved cases is 395.
The assessment centre at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital undertook 188 tests on Monday.
