Ontario is reporting 1,210 new cases of COVID-19 this morning (Thursday) while Southwestern Public Health is advising of 9 new cases, including one in Aylmer and 10 resolved.
There are 65 confirmed ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area, with 21 in Woodstock, 18 in Norwich, 11 in Aylmer, four in St. Thomas and Tillsonburg, three in Ingersoll with single cases in Bayham, Blandford-Blenheim, Zorra and East Zorra-Tavistock.
Bethany Care Home in Norwich has an outbreak with 3 residents testing positive.
There are now three hospitalizations at this time, none in ICU.
Forty-two of the cases are individuals under the age of 50, of those 15 are under the age of 20.
The number of resolved cases is 405.
The assessment centre at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital undertook 189 tests on Tuesday.
