Elgin County Midwives, a new Midwifery Practice, officially open their doors in St. Thomas today.
The Elgin County Midwives are the same great group of people serving St. Thomas and Elgin County as they once did through Talbot Creek Midwives, but they have since been approved to open their own practice, to better serve the local community.
Practice Partner & Chief of Midwifery at STEGH Jill Portelance says they were 1 of 2 new practices approved in Ontario in 2020.
Portelance says the move to branch off and become their own practice stems from the large coverage area they once had to cover as the old coverage area included Elgin County, St. Thomas, London, Strathroy, Ingersoll and more.
Their office address remains the same however, 66 West Ave, St. Thomas.
