A 55-year-old St. Thomas man was convicted this week of several internet child exploitation charges. Mark Brisseau appeared in St. Thomas Court Tuesday on charges dating back to 2017. The investigation was undertaken by members of the St. Thomas Police Service’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit.
He was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in custody.
The charges include making available child pornography, possessing child pornography, making a print and or publishing child pornography and communicating with a person under 18 years of age for the purpose of facilitating the commission of an offence.
