Although there has been no direction as of yet from the province, the Minister of Education Stephen Lecce is recommending school boards prepare students and staff for the possibility of a period of remote learning following the Christmas break.
In a letter from the Thames Valley District School Board to parents and guardians, students and staff are urged to take home any materials they may require for remote learning before they leave school for the holiday period.
The school board stresses any decision to close schools or move to remote learning would be made by the Ministry of Education or local public health teams.
