Elgin county this afternoon (Monday) reported new COVID-19 cases at two of its long-term care homes. One resident at Elgin Manor has tested positive. The individual is asymptomatic and in isolation.
And, a third staff member at Terrace Lodge in Malahide has tested positive. Two staff members were reported to have tested positive on Saturday. All three are asymptomatic and are isolating at home.
The county notes residents in all three Elgin county long-term care homes are being closely monitored. Residents, staff and community members who are determined to be at risk are being contacted by the health unit to prevent further spread of illness in the homes or in the community.
At this time, Bobier Villa does not have any positive cases among residents or staff.
