While frontline healthcare workers are among the first to get COVID-19 vaccines, the president of the Ontario Dental Association wants to see dentists on that list too.
Dr. Lesli Hapak says they worked at close contact with patients regularly.
She says dental health does impact your overall health.
Hapak adds that while there hasn’t been any known COVID-19 cases stemming from dental offices, it’s still important to get dentists vaccinated for everyone’s safety.
Hapak adds that dentists were already very well versed in the use of PPE, but many guidelines have been bolstered during the pandemic.
