The Port Stanley Festival Theatre saw huge success with their Fill the Tree Fundraising Campaign, raising over $18,000 to help bring live theatre back to the village.
The campaign which ran from November 2 to December 31st, saw 115 donors support the theatre after the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered theirs doors for a majority of 2020.
Artistic Director, Simon Joynes says the funds are very needed as they missed out on most of their revenue last year.
He says the money is obviously hugely important to the organization but that wasn’t the only win for the theatre.
Joynes adds that the donations also imply that when they are able to reopen, people will be back to support them.
