Thanks to a boost in funding through their Community Corporation Board, VON Middlesex-Elgin is increasing their supports for those living with a life threatening illness as well as their caregivers.
Now being offered in St. Thomas through the local Hospice and Bereavement program at VON Middlesex-Elgin, participants will partake in virtual programming with Expressive Arts and Music Care, Mindfulness Meditation, Education on Advance Care Planning, and Gentle Yoga.
This program is being offered free of charge to anyone in the community who is currently living with a life threatening illness or someone acting as a caregiver to someone with a life threatening illness.
A life threatening illness may include but is not limited to: Congestive Heart Failure, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder, Kidney failure, Cancer, Alzheimer’s Disease, ALS, etc.
Individuals can be at any stage of their illness to participate.
