Thanks to their efforts throughout the COVID-19 pandemic thus far, the St. Thomas Economic Development Corporation has been honoured with the Award of Excellence for Innovation in Community Resiliency by the Economic Developers Council of Ontario.
The award stems from the St. Thomas EDC’s three-part Pandemic Response Plan- which included supporting small businesses through their COVID-19 fund, promoting local through their St.Thomas Proud Packages initiative, and bringing life and colour to the community through the expanded ‘Track to the Future’ Mural program.
EDC CEO Sean Dyke says they’re honoured to be recognized by the EDCO for what is truly a community effort.
He says they are still working hard to help support the community as the pandemic continues.
Dyke adds that the way the city has responded to such immense adversity makes it so easy to be #stthomasproud.
