Having donated hundreds of thousands of dollars since their #Ivegotyourback911 campaign started in 2014, co-founders Jill Foster and Shaun Taylor say there is an ongoing need to continue with their mental health awareness campaign for first responders.
Taylor notes increased awareness of the campaign allows them to donate to even more causes.
#Ivegotyourback911 announced this month two major donations to kick off the new year. Foster details the two projects.
In total, $15,000 was donated in memory of Calgary police officer Sgt. Andrew Harnett, killed during a traffic stop New Year’s Eve and another $20,000 was donated to Wounded Warriors Canada.
Taylor adds that they are humbled at the continued response to their campaigns.
