A 33 year old St. Thomas man has been charged with impaired driving after he managed to get his vehicle stuck in a snowbank Wednesday night.
Police say that around 9 p.m. officers responded to calls of a vehicle stuck in a snowbank after the driver misjudged a turn onto Caldwell Street from Fairview Ave.
The driver of the vehicle was identified and was located a short distance away. Once taken into custody, breath samples taken indicated that the man had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
As a result the 33 year old has been charged with Impaired Operation and Operation with Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus.
He was later released on an Appearance Notice for court.
