The City of St. Thomas is preparing for the beginning of construction season, with one of the first major projects for 2021 set to get under way on Monday.
Beginning March 1st, Wellington Street will be closed from the Manor Road roundabout to the Highview Drive roundabout while the area undergoes road reconstruction, including underground sewer and watermain work.
Manager of Capital Works Patrick Anckaert explains more.
Anckaert says the construction project will also see the extension of Manor Road.
A detour has been set up via Manor Road and Highview Drive.
The project is expected to wrap up sometime in May 2021.
