An ongoing OPP investigation came to the forefront this week as the OPP announced that the once president of the London Outlaws motorcycle club and two St. Thomas residents were among eight people from Southwestern Ontario arrested in a police crackdown.
44-year-old Ryan Daigneault, an alleged Outlaws member, faces several charges according to records from the court. OPP provided few details however charges of trafficking against Daigneault date all the way back to October of 2020, including alleged incidents in St. Thomas, Thames Centre, London, and Strathroy-Caradoc.
St. Thomas residents Daniel Bell and Cindy Klassen are facing charges including trafficking cocaine and possession of cocaine for trafficking, with several of the charges against Bell, Klassen and Daigneault all based on the same alleged incidents.
In addition one Ancaster man, a woman from Paris, a man from Brantford, one London resident and a male from Adelaide-Metcalfe Township all face a slew of charges.
Court documents from Wednesday stated that the OPP executed a series of warrants Tuesday across multiple jurisdictions, the result of a multi-year, multi-agency, organized crime investigation.
