Ontario is launching an online provincial booking system for COVID-19 tomorrow.
Going live at 8 am, the online portal will be accepting appointment bookings at mass immunization clinics, beginning with individuals aged 80 and older.
A release from the province explains that appointments can be made at Ontario.ca/bookvaccine.
Appointments can be made through the provincial booking system or through the local public health unit if they have a booking system or call centre in place. In the Southwestern Public Health region, adults aged 80+ and Indigenous adults aged 55+ can book by calling 226-289-3560 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or book online at www.covidvaccinelm.ca. Choose City of St. Thomas Memorial Arena from the drop down menu.
The province explains that individuals will be asked for information from their green Ontario health card, birth date, postal code, email address and/or phone number.
If you still have a red and white health card (or require assistance with booking), you can call the Provincial Vaccine Information Line at 1-888-999-6488.
As the province expects a high volume of traffic to its booking system, they’re asking those who aren’t yet eligible to avoid accessing the system- or calling the service desk.
Anyone turning 80 or older in 2021 who doesn’t have access to the internet can call the Provincial Vaccine Information Line from 8 am to 8 pm, Monday to Sunday.
