The Thames Valley District School Board is now reporting 3 active cases of COVID-19 at Central Elgin Collegiate Institute in St. Thomas.
The school board assures the community all staff, parents and guardians of the school community were immediately notified. The school will remain open.
Only those staff and students who have been identified as a close contact will be notified and advised to stay home from school and quarantine for a period of 14 days.
If you do not receive a letter from the school board indicating the public health unit has identified your child as a close contact, your child is not considered to be at risk.
Active cases announced at Arthur Voaden Secondary School, Davenport Public School, and South Dorchester Public School throughout March have all been marked as resolved.
The London District Catholic School Board has reported zero local school cases since students returned to in-class learning following the Christmas break.
