A 54 year old Aylmer man is facing multiple charges after breaking into a local LCBO store for a single bottle of vodka.
Aylmer Police say the incident took place on Thursday around 7:15 p.m., when the male was observed with a metal bar smashing the glass at the front of the LCBO store on Wellington Street.
The accused then crawled through the hole in the glass, went to the vodka section and selected a 750 mL bottle of Smirnoff vodka valued at $28.20.
The male exited the store but was followed by a citizen who observed the entry. The accused was later located by police on Pine Street, where an arrest was made.
As a result, the 54 year old male from Aylmer was charged with Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence and Theft Under $5000.
