Southwestern Public Health has once again added to their COVID-19 vaccine eligibility list.
Those 16 years of age or older who have high-risk health conditions including a BMI>40 or those who are currently undergoing treatments that cause immunosuppression, such as chemotherapy or those who take immunity weakening medications are now eligible for a vaccine.
Also added to the list are individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities over the age of 16.
In addition, 1 primary essential caregiver for an individual with an eligible high risk health condition is now also eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
SWPH adds that written documentation or proof of an eligible health condition is not required from a health care provider as self-attestation is accepted.
