The St. Thomas Minor Hockey Association is helping you get rid of your unwanted or broken hockey sticks, and it’s for a good cause!
London native Jake Smith and his dad Jason have been creating Canadian flags out of wood pallets and discarded hockey sticks, but as a result of the pandemic their supply of sticks is down.
The STMHA will be holding a used hockey stick drive this coming Saturday at Geerlinks Home Hardware to help Jake and Jason replenish their supply.
Those who have hockey sticks they wish to donate to the cause can stop by Home Hardware from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., where a volunteer will assistance you drive thru style.
They will be located in the southeast corner of the Geerlinks Home Hardware parking lot.
Look out for the STMHA signage and STMHA board members and players in Stars jerseys.
