The Elgin County OPP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a group of 12-15 youth who are responsible for causing mischief at the Sons of Scotland Park baseball diamond in Dutton.
Police say security camera footage recorded the group dragging a couch to a ball diamond in front of the Lions Club building and setting it on fire back on May 23rd around 10 p.m.
The youth, who police say appear to be 13-15 years old, were also observed to be drinking and appeared to be throwing accelerants onto the fire while the couch was burning.
The OPP add that on other occasions youth have been observed drinking alcohol at the park as well as setting off fireworks in the parks garbage cans.
