With a large shipment of Moderna vaccine expected next week, Southwestern Public Health is expanding eligibility for second doses.
Beginning 8 a.m. today (June 16), anyone who had a first dose of an mRNA vaccine on or before May 9th can book an earlier second dose. This is in addition to already-eligible individuals.
This will result in thousands of available appointments, advises says Jaime Fletcher, Program Manager of the health unit’s COVID-19 Vaccination Task Force.
Moderna’s mRNA vaccine is not yet approved for use in youth aged 12-17.
You can reschedule an appointment at covidvaccinelm.ca.
