With the hot and humid weather we’ve been experiencing over the past few days, the opening of Jaycees Pool in St. Thomas is a welcomed treat.
With the COVID-19 pandemic keeping the water out of the pool last summer, Aquatics Supervisor Samantha Squires says the opening of the public pool last week was very exciting.
She says that with COVID-19 restrictions still impacting regular operation, swimmers must first pre register online, with the deadline being 11 a.m. each day.
Swim slots are an hour in length and cost $3 per person.
Once you arrive at the pool for your swim time, you’ll be directed from there says Squires.
Squires says all those attending the facility to swim, must come dressed in their gear.
She adds that parents who aren’t required to be in the water with their children can set up chairs outside of the pool deck area.
Those wanting to take advantage of the pool but aren’t ready to swim near people they don’t know can book Jaycees for a private party.
