A fire Tuesday afternoon at an Eden residence destroyed a number of recreational vehicles and a shed. Bayham firefighters responded around 1:40 p.m. to calls about a fire in a backyard shed at 11262 Plank Line.
A neighbour had attempted to stop the fire from spreading to the residence and firefighters from Straffordville and Port Burwell stations quickly brought it under control.
A total of nine ATV’s, three snowmobiles, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and the shed were lost in the blaze with heat damage to the siding on the residence.
The total damage estimate is $45,000. There were no injuries.
