Clovermead Adventure Farm north of Aylmer got a financial shot in the arm today (Wednesday) with provincial funding for a pair of annual festivals.
Ontario is investing nearly $50 million to help festival and event organizers safely reconnect with their communities. Lisa MacLeod, Minister of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries made the announcement this morning in Toronto.
The Bees, Butterflies & Blooms Festival will benefit from a $31,200 investment while The Legendary Clovermead Pumpkin Festival got a $39,600 boost.
Port Stanley Festival Theatre received $40,015 for its production of the Lorne Elliott comedy, The Fixer-Upper, which opens Sept. 8.
“For more than a year, the pandemic has disproportionately impacted tourism and culture – two major industries that bring people together and our communities to life,” said MacLeod.
