ERTH Corporation – the southwestern Ontario electric utility – has completed what it calls its Energy Community EV network, two dozen publicly accessible electric vehicle charging stations, including several in Central Elgin. Chris White, president and CEO of ERTH, explains where the stations, each with two outlets, are located.
White notes the Level 2 units typically can fully charge an electric vehicle in about four hours.
It’s a positive step forward in encouraging adoption of zero-emission vehicles, advises White, and the network includes a simple method of payment for their use.
White adds the new stations and ease of payment will allow motorists to charge their vehicle reliably and safely.
And, the pair of charging stations in Port Stanley are proving particularly popular.
White adds the next step is the installation of 20 charging stations at Elgin county and Municipality of Central Elgin offices and works yards.
