As we prepare to cast our votes in the Federal Election later this month, myFM is giving you a look at the local candidates running for Elgin-Middlesex-London.
Amanda Stark represents the Green Party of Canada for the riding.
Stark, who resides in St. Thomas and co-owns a local business, grew up in farming country just outside Dorchester.
After exploring the platforms of multiple parties over the years, and considering municipal politics, Stark decided to make the leap and try her hand at running as our local member of parliament.
As for why she put her trust in Annamie Paul and the Green Party, she had this to say.
With little time to prepare for the race as a first time candidate, we asked Stark her thoughts on when she first heard that the election was called.
Stark broke down the Green Party’s platform and what she hopes to do with this plan.
As far as the plan for the recovery of the Canadian economy, supporting local is a big deal.
During her time out speaking with the constituents, Stark says one things that she continues to hear, is the need to come together as a community.
And as far as why you should put your vote towards Amanda Stark and the Green Party of Canada, she had this to say.
