St. Thomas fire crews were called out over the dinner hour Sunday to fight a major blaze in a semi-detached dwelling at 76 Carrie Crescent, in the city’s east end.
It is reported that one unit was heavily damaged and another suffered damage along the back wall.
The St. Thomas Fire Department had a full callback to deal with the blaze.
A propane tank on a barbeque is a possible cause, however the fire department will be investigating further today.
No injuries were reported as a result, and a damage estimate should be available some time later today, according to chief fire prevention officer Kim Destun.
