As of today, Ontario will implement a COVID vaccine certificate system in order to enter certain facilities across the province.
Many businesses say they aren’t sure how the program will be received, but they hope the rollout will be smooth.
Starting today, patrons at dine-in restaurants, nightclubs, gyms, sports facilities and other venues will need to present a receipt of full vaccination against COVID-19, along with government-issued identification in order to be allowed inside.
Ontario plans to streamline the process by launching a Q-R code and verification app for businesses on October 22nd.
Premier Doug Ford will be joined by Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health, and Solicitor General Sylvia Jones, to provide an update on proof of COVID-19 vaccination certificates and Ontario’s vaccine rollout this morning at 11:30 a.m.
