The St. Thomas Fire Department are kicking Fire Prevention week this year by holding 2 community events this weekend.
Chief Fire Prevention Officer Kim Destun says the fun will begin on Saturday at the Horton Farmers Market, with their first “Chalk It Up for Fire Safety” event.
On Sunday, the community is invited to Station 1 at 305 Wellington Street from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for an outdoor Open House explains Destun.
Destun adds that if you can’t make it out this weekend, they will be holding another “Chalk It Up for Fire Safety” event at the St. Thomas Public Library on October 9th.
