The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a chance to reflect, especially given some of the discoveries at residential school sites across Canada earlier this summer.
That’s the opinion of Provincial Minister of Indigenous Affairs Greg Rickford.
Rickford says they’re always trying to work with Indigenous leaders to learn how to help educate others.
He adds that you should take an opportunity today to search out a local or online activity today to learn more about the history of indigenous people and the injustices they’ve faced in Canada.
