The Aylmer Police were called to the East Elgin Community Complex on Thursday for a report of a hockey parent not co-operating with arena staff.
When officers arrived, they located a 53 year old female who was refusing to leave the arena, after failing to provide the required proof of vaccine certification or medical exemption to staff.
Police attempted to educate the female and explained the consequences should she not leave the premises as requested by the staff.
As a result, the female was removed from the facility by police and was placed under arrest for Obstructing a Peace officer.
The 53 year old was later released on an undertaking and charged with Obstruct Peace officer contrary to the criminal code and fail to leave premise when directed to do so contrary to the Trespass to Property Act.
She is scheduled to appear in St. Thomas Court.
