With Halloween coming up on Sunday and trick-or-treaters putting the last minute details together for their costumes, the St. Thomas Police want to remind the community about the important steps we can take to stay safe that night.
Corporate Communications Coordinator Tanya Calvert shared some helpful tips for trick-or-treaters.
Adding a flash light or glow stick to a costume is also a helpful tip adds Calvert, noting it increases visibility while you walk down the sidewalk.
She adds that making sure you can see out of your costume is a must.
Calvert also stressed that motorists have just as an important job to do on Halloween night as the trick-or-treaters do when it comes to safety.
Members of the St. Thomas Police will be out and about on Sunday to help encourage Halloween safety.
