A 35 year old St. Thomas woman is facing multiple charges following an arrest Tuesday by London Police.
It is reported that officers were called to respond to a theft from a retail store, where upon police arrival the two suspects attempted to flee from officers in a vehicle, but were arrested without incident.
Members of the LPS Guns and Gangs Section took over of the investigation and a search of the vehicle yielded the following items:
Replica firearm
21 grams of cocaine
7 grams of crack cocaine
21.5 oxycodone
$1,107.05 Canadian currency
63 grams of cutting agent
Two cellular phones
As a result of the investigation, Jessica Amanda MacMillan, 35, of St. Thomas, and James Derrick Boyd, 39, of London, have been jointly charged with Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking; Possession of a Schedule I substance; and Theft under $5000.
MacMillan was also charged with dangerous operation of a conveyance, and flight from peace officer.
Boyd is expected to appear in London court today, while MacMillan is scheduled to appear in London court on January 21, 2022, in relation to the charges.
