The province this morning is reporting 321 new COVID-19 cases, with 10 new deaths.
Southwestern Public Health is reporting 12 new cases with eight resolved.
There was one new death, a female Oxford resident in her 70s. The death toll is now 91 since the pandemic began.
There are six new cases in Aylmer and one each in Bayham and Central Elgin.
There are 87 ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area with 20 in Woodstock, 17 in Aylmer, nine in Ingersoll, eight in St. Thomas, seven in Tillsonburg, six in Norwich, five in Bayham, four in Central Elgin, three in SW Oxford and East Zorra-Tavistock, two in Zorra and one each in Malahide, West Elgin and Blandford-Blenheim.
A total of 1,448 cases have been variants of concern with 619 confirmed cases of the Delta variant.
There are no institutional cases reported.
There are three hospitalizations at this time, with two in ICU. Of the cases hospitalized since the pandemic began, 35.9 per cent were admitted to the ICU.
Sixty-three of the cases are individuals under the age of 50, with 27 of those under the age of 20.
The number of resolved cases is 4,457.
A total of 150,312 residents in the region have been fully immunized or 70.6 per cent.
There are 41.1 ongoing confirmed cases per 100,000 population in the SWPH region as compared to 24.4 per 100,000 in the Middlesex-London Health Unit region. The crude rate for St. Thomas is 20.6 cases per 100,000 population and 226.9 cases per 100,000 population for Aylmer.
The assessment centre at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital undertook 131 tests Monday. The West Elgin Community Health Centre did 18 on Monday.
