The province this morning is reporting 409 new COVID-19 cases, with three deaths.
Southwestern Public Health is reporting 10 new cases with eight resolved.
The death toll remains at 91 since the pandemic began.
There are three new cases in Aylmer and one in Bayham.
There are 88 ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area with 21 in Woodstock, 19 in Aylmer, eight in St. Thomas and Tillsonburg, seven in Ingersoll, six in Bayham and Norwich, four in Central Elgin, three in SW Oxford, two in East Zorra-Tavistock and Zorra and one each in Malahide and Blandford-Blenheim.
A total of 1,470 cases have been variants of concern with 641 confirmed cases of the Delta variant.
There are no institutional cases reported.
There are three hospitalizations at this time, with two in ICU. Of the cases hospitalized since the pandemic began, 35.9 per cent were admitted to the ICU.
Sixty-three of the cases are individuals under the age of 50, with 30 of those under the age of 20.
The number of resolved cases is 4,465.
A total of 150,312 residents in the region have been fully immunized or 70.6 per cent.
There are 41.6 ongoing confirmed cases per 100,000 population in the SWPH region as compared to 25.2 per 100,000 in the Middlesex-London Health Unit region. The crude rate for St. Thomas is 20.6 cases per 100,000 population and 253.6 cases per 100,000 population for Aylmer.
The assessment centre at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital undertook 126 tests Tuesday. The West Elgin Community Health Centre did 18 on Monday.
