This year’s local Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign was another huge success, resulting in a record breaking donation to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation through the initiative.
A total of $48,000 was raised at 7 different St. Thomas Tim Hortons locations through the week long campaign. This year’s total breaks their previous campaign high of $44,124, which was raised during 2019.
Jacqueline Bloom CEO of the STEGH Foundation says in years past, funds raised would support Women and Children’s Services, but local Tim Hortons owners Diane Stewart and Brian Tisdelle, wanted to make a bigger impact.
Bloom adds that when the community supports initiatives such as the Smile Cookie Campaign, they are making a bigger difference than they may think.
Bloom says they are so grateful to the community for the continued support and help in purchasing the much needed crash carts for the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital.
