After reporting two COVID-19 outbreaks at schools across St. Thomas/Elgin last week, the Thames Valley District School Board announced an additional 7 local cases of COVID-19 over the weekend.
On Friday, the TVDSB reported a single cases of COVID-19 at Port Burwell Public School, with 3 cases at John Wise Public School , an additional 2 at Pierre Elliott Trudeau and a single case at East Elgin Secondary School reported on Sunday.
All schools do remain open at this time, and Southwestern Public Health continues to work with close contacts to provide specific testing advice.
Currently, there are 16 active cases of COVID-19 in schools across St. Thomas and Elgin, with 5 at Pierre Elliott Trudeau, 3 each at McGregor Public School and John Wise Public School, and 1 each at Davenport Public School, Elgin Court Public School, Port Burwell Public School, East Elgin Secondary School and Parkside Collegiate Institute.
At this time, the London District Catholic School Board is reporting no active COVID-19 cases at schools across St. Thomas/Elgin.
