St. Thomas Police have charged a 35 year old male with failing to stop for a red light under the Highway Traffic Act, after the man struck a cyclist on Talbot Street Thursday evening.
Police report that CCTV footage collected from the downtown core has confirmed witness recounts that the vehicle had run a red light.
Police say the driver was eastbound on Talbot, while the cyclist was crossing northbound at the intersection of Talbot at Manitoba when the collision occurred.
The cyclist was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
