In just over 24 hours, the big man himself will make the long trip to St. Thomas to take part in this weekend’s “A Magical Christmas” Stationary Santa Claus Parade.
For three nights, Pinafore Park will transform and be filled with static displays from businesses and community groups for residents to enjoy.
Thanks to the work of Elgin-Middlesex-London MPP Jeff Yurek, MP Karen Vecchio and the St. Thomas Optimist Club, viewers are invited to drive through the park, from 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
For those without a personal vehicle, Kevin Kernohan with the St. Thomas Optimist Club says thanks to First Student, they will be offering shuttle pickup from 5 locations across the city.
Canada Post will also be collecting letters to Santa in their mailbox during the stationary parade.
Shuttle pick up locations include…
- WEST END – Crocker Ave Parking lot (Corner of Wellington St./Crocker Ave)
- NORTH END – 1Password Park
- SOUTH END – St. Joseph’s High School (North Lot)
