Can you believe it?
For the third time in less than two weeks the St. Marys Lincolns have bested St. Thomas by the same 5-2 score.
And, to add insult to injury, the damage has all been inflicted at home in the Joe Thornton Community Centre.
Friday night, it was Belmont native Noah Vandenbrink who buried a trio of third period goals to hand the Stars their fourth straight loss.
For Vandenbrink it gives him a dozen goals on the season.
Mathieu Paris with his sixth and Nicholas Mazza netting his second of the campaign responded for St. Thomas.
The result extends the Lincs winning streak to five games.
Owen Willmore was in net for the loss, his ninth this season and ups his goals-against average to 3.71.
The Stars remain tied with Strathroy in seventh place in the GOJHL Western Conference standings.
They are right back in action tonight against the Kings in Komoka. The hosts have taken their two previous encounters this season by scores of 4-3 and 7-5.
You can catch all the action right here on myFM beginning at 7:05 p.m. with Chris Soares.
