A police pursuit Friday morning through three counties ended northwest of Aylmer and led to the arrest of two people.
The incident began in Woodstock when police responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle.
The male driver dodged a spike belt, hitting a police cruiser in the process and fled the area.
Middlesex OPP joined the pursuit on Avon Road near Lake Whittaker Conservation Area with the vehicle continuing south into Elgin before coming to a sudden stop, hitting a second cruiser on Dorchester Road near Mapleton Line.
Two people were arrested and taken to hospital for assessment. No officers were injured in the pursuit.
Elgin OPP, West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), West Region Canine Unit, St Thomas Police Service and Aylmer Police Service members assisted in taking two individuals into custody.
The driver faces a variety of charges.
