The holiday spirit shown by the community has been overwhelming down at Christmas Care.
With countless collection drives undertaken by residents, businesses, and community groups, residents of St. Thomas, Central Elgin and Southwold who need an extra hand around Christmas will surely receive it.
myFM caught up with Richard Auckland down at Christmas Care who wanted to remind residents about the upcoming registration deadline of December 10th.
Auckland says that they still have plenty of room for registration remaining this year, and can easily be done at their office in the Elgin Centre. You’ll need to bring proof of current address as well as proof of current income to do so.
They will also continue to collect donations at the Elgin Centre this week, with Auckland mentioning a current lack of gifts for girls in the preteen age group.
You can drop by weekdays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to register for your food and toy hamper or to make a donation. COVID-19 protocols are in place.
