The province this morning is reporting 3,534 new COVID-19 cases, with 10 new deaths.
Southwestern Public Health is reporting 35 new cases, with 27 resolved.
There were two deaths, a St. Thomas female over 100 years of age and an Oxford female in her 80s. The death toll is 110 since the pandemic began.
There are 13 new cases in St. Thomas and one each in Aylmer and Central Elgin.
There are 318 ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area with 80 in St. Thomas, 73 in Woodstock, 25 in Ingersoll, 20 in Tillsonburg, 17 in Zorra, 16 in Central Elgin, 14 in Norwich, 13 in Aylmer and SW Oxford, 10 in Blandford-Blenheim, nine in Dutton/Dunwich, eight in East Zorra-Tavistock, seven in Malahide, five in Bayham and four in Southwold and West Elgin.
On this date last year, there were 28 ongoing cases in St. Thomas.
There are 11 resident cases and nine staff cases and one death at Caressant Care Bonnie Place in St. Thomas.
There are eight hospitalizations at this time, with three in ICU. Of the cases hospitalized since the pandemic began, 35.0 per cent were admitted to the ICU.
Two hundred and thirty-six of the cases are individuals under the age of 50, with 94 of those under the age of 20.
The number of resolved cases is 5,569.
A total of 156,555 residents in the region have been fully immunized or 73.5 per cent.
There are 149.9 ongoing confirmed cases per 100,000 population in the SWPH region as compared to 168.9 per 100,000 in the Middlesex-London Health Unit region. The crude rate for St. Thomas is 205.6 cases per 100,000 population and 173.5 cases per 100,000 population for Aylmer.
