With 2021 finally coming to an end tonight, here’s what’s open and what’s closed in St. Thomas and Elgin County on New Year’s Day.
St. Thomas City Hall and Social Services Offices will be closed today and will reopen January 3rd at 8:30 a.m.
All grocery stores such as The Real Canadian Superstore, Walmart, Metro, FreshCo, Foodbasics, Foodland and Briwood will be closed on New Year’s Day.
Shoppers Drug Mart at 410 Talbot Street will be open on until 5 p.m. today and will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on New Year’s Day.
The LCBO, Beer Store and Lynhurst Esso and Variety will close at 6 p.m. tonight, with all three establishments being closed tomorrow.
If you’re looking for something fun to do with the family on New Year’s Day, Galaxy Cinemas in St. Thomas and local bowling alleys will be open, however different COVID-19 protocols are in place at each establishment.
