With the Christmas season now in the rearview, some local municipalities are letting you know where and how to dispose of your fresh trees.
In St. Thomas, you can leave your Christmas tree out on the curb during your regular scheduled garage collection day between January 4th and 14th.
The Municipality of Dutton Dunwich remind residents to not leave Christmas trees on the curb for collections. Unwanted trees can be dropped off at the Public Works Building at 136 Currie Rd, Dutton, to later be recycled into wood chips by January 7th.
The Township of Malahide will see a similar operation, with 2 locations for residents to drop trees off and a deadline of January 10th. Drop off locations include 12105 Whittaker Road, Springfield (Malahide Community Place) beside the storage garage and Rush Creek Line, east of Imperial Road, in Port Bruce – municipal land south of the Port Bruce Welcome sign.
The Town of Aylmer will also be offering a designated Christmas Tree Drop-off Depot located in the Parks & Recreation Department Parking Lot at 8 Parkview Heights until to Friday, January 7th.
If you live in the Municipality of Central Elgin, you can drop your tree off from Tuesday, January 4th to Friday, January 14th at either the Belmont Arena (14020 Belmont Road), Port Stanley Arena (332 Carlow Road) or White Station Building (42343 Fruit Ridge Line).
