A pleasant follow up to a story we brought you in late December, as the Township of Malahide has announced that their new community outdoor ice rink is now open to the public.
Housed at the Malahide Community Place, the volunteer run rink will be open to the public from dawn until dusk each day.
Chris Cox, Facility Manager at the Township of Malahide says they have had the ice rink kit since 2017, however the timing has never been right.
Cox reminds that the ice is unsupervised, however there are a number of rules that do need to be followed while skating.
This includes a maximum of 10 skaters on the ice at one time, with children under 12 needing supervision by an adult.
