St. Thomas and Elgin County saw our first major snow fall of 2022 on Monday, prompting bus cancellations and warnings from local first responders.
The West Region OPP were kept busy most of the day, with officers responding to a number of weather related collisions and incidents.
Because of this, Acting Sgt. Ed Sanchuk has put out a few reminders for motorists who are forced to drive in the less than desirable conditions.
He adds that traffic safety is everyone’s responsibility, meaning we all have to do our part.
Sanchuk says whether it’s a sunny day, a rainy day, a windy day, or a snowy day – just drive according to the weather conditions.
