The province this morning is reporting at least 7,165 new COVID-19 cases with 64 deaths.
A total of 4,114 individuals across the province are hospitalized with 590 in ICU and 366 on ventilators.
Southwestern Public Health is reporting at least 93 new cases with 75 resolved.
There was one death reported, a female resident in her 70s at Woodingford Lodge in Woodstock. The death toll is 130 since the pandemic began.
The percent positivity rate in the region has slipped to 16.5%.
There are 26 new cases in St. Thomas, five in West Elgin, four in Aylmer, three in Dutton-Dunwich and Bayham and two in Central Elgin.
There are 859 ongoing cases in the health unit’s coverage area with 254 in St. Thomas, 250 in Woodstock, 58 in Tillsonburg, 57 in Ingersoll, 51 in Aylmer, 27 in Zorra, 26 in Central Elgin, 25 in East Zorra-Tavistock, 24 in West Elgin, 21 in Dutton-Dunwich, 20 in Norwich, 14 in SW Oxford, 11 in Bayham, 10 in Blandford-Blenheim, seven in Southwold and four in Malahide.
There are 44 resident cases and 31 staff cases at Caressant Care Bonnie Place in St. Thomas, 17 resident and 32 staff cases at Valleyview, nine resident and 13 staff case at Elgin Manor, nine residents and 12 staff at Extendicare in Port Stanley, 18 resident and five staff cases at Terrace Lodge, 13 residents and six staff cases at Metcalfe Gardens and six resident and seven staff at Chartwell in Aylmer.
There are 52 hospitalizations at this time, with 10 in ICU. Of the cases hospitalized since the pandemic began, 31.7 per cent were admitted to the ICU.
The number of resolved cases is 8,543
A total of 79,051 residents in the region have had three doses of a vaccine or 49.7 per cent.
There are 392.9 ongoing confirmed cases per 100,000 population in the SWPH region as compared to 507.0 per 100,000 in the Middlesex-London Health Unit region. The crude rate for St. Thomas is 596.1 cases per 100,000 population and 614.6 cases per 100,000 population for Aylmer.
