The St. Thomas Police Service advised Thursday it has sent officers to Ottawa to assist in the coordinated response necessary to support public safety in Ottawa as the protest in that city continues.
These officers will take direction from the Integrated Command Centre now set up with the Ottawa Police Service, the OPP and the RCMP.
Details of the specialized duty will not be shared for operational purposes
The police service assures St. Thomas residents there will be no impact on public safety services in the city during their absence.
