Ontario is dropping the vaccination requirements for restaurants, gyms and other public settings next month, but mandates for staff and visitors in some hospitals will likely be in place much longer.
At St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, the vaccination mandates will remain for the time being.
In addition, it will continue to allow only essential caregivers to visit.
In a Facebook posting, the hospital advises, “We recognize the important role of family and friends in the healing process, and look forward to expanding our family presence and visiting guidelines as soon as it is safe to do so.”
